Himalayan blackberry: A perennial shrub, erect stems sprawling up to 10 m long. Five oval leaflets, sharply toothed, 6-12 cm long, bright green and hairless above, grey and woolly below. Stems are covered with strong flattened prickles. In early summer, white flowers with five petals 10-15 cm long, appear. Produces round 1.5 cm thick black berries.
Often forming dense, impenetrable thickets if not managed in early stages. Prickles will rip clothing and flesh.. |
