Pacific silverweed: A perennial herb that spreads widely via freely rooting creeping stems. Basal leaves are up to 40 cm long and consist of 7-29 green primary leaflets that are sparsely silky above and densely wooly below. Each primary leaflet is oval to oblong, 0.5-3.5 cm long, coarsely to sharply toothed, and are interspersed with much smaller, entire, secondary leaflets. There is one flower per flowering stalk and each flowering stalk is leafless and 3-15 cm tall. The flowers have 5 yellow, 6-13 mm long petals. The mature seeds are light brown, plump, somewhat oval, and about 2 mm long. The plants flower from May to August and are native to British Columbia.
