goose grass Goose grass: A 0.1-1 m tall annual. The stems are weak but not particularly slender. There are 8, though sometimes only 6, leaves per whorl. Each leaf is 1-4 cm long and ends in an abrupt, sharp, rigid point. The white, 1-2 mm broad flower is divided into 4 lobes. The 1.5-5 mm long fruit is covered with hooked bristles. The plants flower from April to June and are native to British Columbia.
