Foxglove: A robust biennial herb that has a basal rosette without a stem in its first year of life, but growing a 0.5-1.8 m tall stem in its second year. The plant is hairy throughout and leaves are primarily located at the plant margin. The 4-6 cm long flowers are bell shaped, pink-purple (sometimes white) with the lower side paler and spotted. The seeds are very small. In the second year of its life the plant flowers from June to July. It is native to Eurasia and tends to establish itself on disturbed sites.
